Lincoln Sight-Seeing Open Top Bus Tours begin and run until October and you can experience Lincoln's rich heritage aboard the bus. With live commentary you can discover the city's 2,000 year history. The tour offers panoramic views of the city's landmarks with eight stops and provides tourists and locals with a unique perspective on Lincoln's historic and cultural sites. Woodhall Spa Garden Club meet at 7.30pm in the Coronation Hall when there will be a special talk on self sufficiency, even in a small garden. This informative session will guide you on how to maximise your garden space to grow your own produce. There will be a raffle and a sales table, a free magazine swap and refreshments. The cost for visitors is £5.


Friday 18th - Sunday 20th April
Easter Egg Hunt at Hartsholme Country Park from 12 noon - 3pm on each day. Come down to the park and try this annual event. The cost is £4 per child and no booking is required. If you would like more details please contact hartsholmecp@lincoln.gov.uk.

Fun and Gift Fair at the Stanhope Hall, Boston Road, Horncastle from 11am - 4pm. Face painting and other activities plus lots of lovely gift stalls. Food and drink will also be available. Admission is £2 and under 16s are free.


Easter Fun at Bracebridge Heath Community Hub and Library from 10am - 12 noon. Can you pin the tail on the bunny, match the egg shapes, decorate egg shapes, and make an Easter card? You can also enjoy an Easter themed story. This is a free event and all are welcome.


Bracebridge Heath Events Group have organised an Easter Egg Hunt in the Woodland Walk from 10am - 12 noon. All ages are welcome to join in the family fun and there will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd correct answers drawn out of the hat. You can pick up your entry sheets by the War Memorial on the day for only £1.50 per sheet.


There's an Easter Family Fun Day at Horncastle Methodist Church from 10am - 1pm with lots of activities, including a Treasure Hunt with a prize for every child who competes. The children need to be accompanied for this event, the cost is £2 and the Treasure Hunt will last about 40 minutes. Apart from that there are games which include Splat the Rat, crafts, stalls, a raffle and refreshments.

Easter Fete Day at the Venue in Navenby from 11am - 3pm. Enjoy a fun filled day with Easter goodies, local stalls and community fun. Stalls will be selling personalised gifts, trinkets, jewellery, local honey and jams, artworks and more. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt, children's activities and tombola plus music from DJ Mike. The Easter Hunt and activities cost £4 per child and need to be booked via ticketsource.co.uk/the-venuenavenby. Bring your friends and family along - there's something for everyone.


There's a Chocolate Day and Easter Egg Hunt at Cogglesford Watermill in East Road, Sleaford from 12 - 4pm. The event is free but donations would be welcome.

Easter Monday Car Boot and Craft Fair at Tattershall Village Hall from 9am - 1pm. Time to have a spring clear out while making some money and browsing for bargains, plus a traditional craft fair selling handmade goods. Car boot pitches cost £5 for which you can book, or just turn up, and craft tables are £8 for which pre-booking is required. Set up is from 8am onwards and food and refreshments will be available.


Easter Book Hunt at Boultham Park, Hall Drive, Lincoln at 11am. There will be approximately 100 books to give away hidden around the park. They are labelled with suitable age ranges. Please take only one book so as many children as possible get a free book this Easter. The wrapping is recyclable so please either take it home or use the recycle bins in the park.

Shep's charity quiz takes place at Harmston Memorial Hall with the doors opening at 7.30pm and the quiz at 8pm. There are no prizes so no pressure. The entry fee is £2 per person with a maximum of four in a team. There's a chance to win a bottle of wine in Play Your Cards Right.


Branston & District U3A meet in the Village Hall at 1.30 for 2pm when the speaker will be Emma Sheardown who is the World and European Para Dressage Champion, and author of 'There's No Such Word As Can't'.

North Hykeham Flower Lovers Club meet at Rustons Sports and Social Club at 7.30pm and the speaker this month is Lee Berrill with his demonstration of Sylvac Pottery. Everyone is welcome and if you would like more information please contact Corinne on 01522 692684.


Ageing Well Hub at Ruckland Court Care Home, Ruckland Avenue, Lincoln from 10am - 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to come along to learn about different initiatives dedicated to enhancing health and wellness. 54 North Ceilidhs will be performing at Canwick Village Hall at 7.30pm. Bring your dancing shoes and/or an instrument to join the band, and have fun and a social evening of dance. Music is provided but you will need to bring a stand. All dances are taught and the event is suitable for all ages and levels of experience. The cost is £6 per person and tickets are available on the door.


Wildflowers for All - April, at Whisby Nature Park from 6 - 8pm. This is the first in a series of six workshops by Libby John, looking at the wild flowers of Whisby and how they change through the seasons from April to September. Each session will look at the wild flowers out at the time and basics in how to identify them. This will involve a little classroom learning along with a field expedition into the nature reserve. It's suitable for all.


Local History - the Life, Death and beyond of Bishop Saint Hugh. This is a talk given by Paul Halfyard at Age UK, Park Street, Lincoln at 1pm. The dramatic, unbelievable true story of Lincoln's very own grave digging king-hammering, hod-carrying hero. Tickets cost £3 and can be booked at Park Street reception or by calling 03455 564 144.


Thursday 24th and Friday 25th April
The Ripper Files at New Theatre Royal, Clasketgate, Lincoln - a spine tingling whodunit presented by the Rumpus Theatre Company and based on the world's most famous case. Inspector Lestrange was a newly promoted Detective Inspector in the Metropolitan H Division in Whitechapel when the Autumn of Terror, as it came to be known, reached its grisly height. Please be aware that this one is NOT for the faint hearted and anyone wishing to leave the auditorium during the performance is respectfully requested not to do so in the middle of a murder. Performances are at 7.30 on Thursday and 2.30 and 7.30 on Friday. Tickets are £23 and £21 for concessions.

Birchwood Gardening Club meet in St Luke's Church Hall, Jasmin Road, Lincoln when the speaker will be Laura Gundy who is event volunteer at Butterfly Conservation. She will be talking about Gardening for the benefit of Butterflies and Moths. Doors open at 7pm and the meeting starts at 7.30. There will be a break around 8.15 for the raffle, sale of plants and refreshments. Entry for visitors is £4 and £3 for members.


Flix in the Stix at Scothern Village Hall at 7pm for a 7.30 start. The film this month is Maria, starring Angeline Jolie. Maria Callas, the world's greatest opera singer, lives the last days of her life in 1970s Paris as she confronts her identity. The cost is £5 on the door.

Bingo, Bangers and Mash at Harmston Memorial Hall from 4 - 8pm. This is a fun and relaxed family friendly evening with a meal included, plus two games of bingo, bar and prizes. The cost is £7.50 per adult and £5 per child. Reservations only by ringing Teresa on 07421 886287.


Behold Ye Ramblers, a new play by Neil Gore, will be performed at Nettleham Village Hall at 7.30. This is a musical ballad about the origins of the right to roam. Tickets cost £14 and can be obtained by ringing 07715 209709. Doors open at 7pm and there's a licensed bar for pre-show and interval drinks.


Hykeham Bowls Club are holding an Open Day for non-members from 10am - 4pm. You are welcome to come along at any time during this session and all equipment is provided. If you would like to try outdoor bowling please bring flat soled shoes or trainers for use on the bowling green. The club is behind the Hykeham Memorial Hall and there is plenty of free parking. It is I, Seagull at the Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby at 7.30pm. Comedy writer and opera singer Lucy Mellors has had enough. Enough of grovelling to male directors, being judged for eating a biscuit and sacrificing her mental health in pursuit of a dream. Fusing opera and comedy, this show is a hilarious exploration of self-esteem, joy, failure, opera and space travel. Tickets cost £13 and £12 for under 18s and over 65s from broadbenttheatre.org.


Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April
The Gruffalo at Lincoln Arts Centre. Searching for hazelnuts Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the high-spirited Snake. Will the story of the terrifying Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry creatures? After all - there's no such thing as a Gruffalo - is there? Suitable for children aged 3 and upwards. Times are 2 and 4pm on Saturday and 10.30am and 1.30pm on Sunday and tickets cost £16 for adults, £14 for children and £54 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children). Classic Car and Bike Day at Daisy Made Farm, Skellingthorpe from 10am - 4pm. Enjoy a variety of classic cars and bikes as well as stalls and, of course, ice cream.


Keep Nettleham Tidy - a litter pick meeting at Nettleham Village Hall between 10am and 12 noon. Pickers, bags, hi vis jackets and gloves will be provided.


There's a talk on how plants work at 49 Roman Pavement, Lincoln from 10 - 11.30. This 90 minute talk will take you on a journey into the fascinating world of plants, how they grow and the strategies they use to survive. If you would like to look at plants with a renewed interest or simply know more about how your garden plants function, then this session is for you. Tickets can be obtained from eventbrite.co.uk.


Everyone is welcome to join Horncastle Walkers for a friendly morning walk, meeting at Scrivelsby Grange at 10am. This will be a 5 mile circular walk and suitable footwear will be required as the route may be muddy. Dogs on leads are also welcome.


A Community Litter Pick is taking place in Heighington, meeting at the Jubilee Hall at 10am. All participants are invited to return to the hall afterwards for some light refreshments and it's hoped as many people as possible will join in.


Cars and Coffee Drive it Day at Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum, Whisby Road, Lincoln from 9am - 4pm. Why not bring your classic car or motorbike to the Museum. Later on vintage car rides will be available - weather permitting. Entry is free before 11am and reasonably priced tea and coffee will be available. After 11am normal entry fee applies.


Disability Dog Walk 2025 at Boultham Park, Hall Drive, Lincoln at 11am. Meet hundreds of wheelie good friends and there will also be live music, line dancing, a dog show, games and stalls.


Lincoln's Makers Market at the Engine Shed, University of Lincoln, Brayford Wharf from10am - 4pm. This market brings together the best independent makers, collectors, designers and creatives from the area. There will be a wide selection of products including ceramics, illustrations, candles, jewellery, vintage collections and more - there's truly something for everyone on offer. Tickets are £2.50 and under 12s are free.
