If you're interested in birds and wildlife why not join Lincoln RSPB for an evening about Alberta and British Columbia in Spring. The speaker is wildlife photographer Graham Catley from Lincolnshire, who takes us to Western Canada in search of birds and wildlife to be found in the range of habitats of this vast country. The venue is the Robert Hardy Building, Bishop Grosseteste University, Longdales Road, Lincoln at 7.30pm. Entry is £4 and children are free. Pay at the door only - cash or card. Car parking is free and there will be a raffle and secondhand books.


Games and Social Evening at Nettleham Community Hub from 7 - 9pm. You can either play the games on offer or bring your own. Self serve hot drinks will be available but please bring your own cup. Alternatively you can bring drinks and snacks with you. Please note this event is for over 18s only. Entry is free but donations to the Hub would be welcome. Valentine's Afternoon Tea in the Sgt's Mess at East Kirkby Aviation Heritage Centre. The day will consist of an exterior tour of the Lancaster at 11am and at 12.30pm afternoon tea with piano accompaniment. Following this at 2pm there will be an exterior tour of the Mosquito. Pre-booking is essential.


Valentine's Tea Dance at the Walled Garden, Baumber, Nr Horncastle from 1 - 4pm. Come along for an afternoon of dancing with special guest Johnny Victory singing and performing tea dance classics. Westerley Christian Care Home in Woodhall Spa are holding a coffee morning from 10.30 - 11.30am. There will be a cake stall, tombola and craft stalls. Everyone is welcome to come for tea, coffee and cake, and all donations and money raised will go towards the residents fund.

Valentine Afternoon Tea and Dance at Revesby Village Hall from 1 - 3pm. The ticket price of £10 includes a selection of sandwiches, cakes and bakes, hot drinks and a complementary glass of fizz. Board Games Night at 3 Bridge Street, Horncastle from 7 - 10pm. You can either bring your own games or have a go at some different games. This is a good event for making new friends or just having a bit of a chat with people.


Craft Fair at Coronation Hall, Spa Road, Woodhall Spa from 10am - 3pm. Stalls include jewellery, scarves, wood turned items, wax melts and candles, photography and artwork. There will also be a pop up cafe serving tea and coffee, hot food and some fabulous home made cake. It's free entry so come and support local small businesses and find something truly unique.


Snowdrop Festival at Edlington, Nr Horncastle, Come and see the splendid snowdrops in the village, also at St Helen's Church, with crafts. Light refreshments will be available in the church which will be open from 10am - 4pm. The festival will close with a short thanksgiving service at 3.45pm.


Jumble Sale in aid of Lincoln Cat Care at Bracebridge Heath Village Hall from 1 - 3pm. The entrance fee is 30p or a tin of cat food. Refreshments will be available, plus competitions and tombola.


Barn Dance at Coningsby Community Hall from 7.30pm till late. Tickets cost £9 for adults and £2 for children, and this includes a sausage and mash supper plus apple pie. There will be dancing to the band Rake Up and a raffle. It's organised by Coningsby and Tattershall Lions Club and all proceeds will go to charity. Tickets can be obtained from the Cutting Cupboard or Richard Sivill Gallery.


Lambing Live at Rand Farm Park from 10am - 4.30pm. Throughout the lambing season you can bottle feed the lambs at set times throughout the day and hopefully witness a live birth. You can book on tinyurl.com.

Ghost Hunt at the Wig & Mitre, Steep Hill, Lincoln from 9pm - 2am. A night of spooktacular fun and paranormal investigation - what will you find and uncover? Drinks and snacks can be purchased on site plus use of equipment and your chance to ghost hunt yourself towards the end of the night. Tickets cost £30.


How to Survive and Thrive in an Impossible World with a Piano! This is a touring theatre show happening at Scamblesby Village Hall (LN11 9XF). Part storytelling, part singing, this quirky, amusing show encourages us to get wild and get healed to get on with life which, let's face it, can be full on annoying at times. It starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £12.50 for adults, £9 for under 16s and £35 for a group. Book now on 07947‍ 736311.

Lincolnshire Folk Tales Day at Mrs Smith's Cottage, East Road, Navenby from 12 noon - 3pm. Come and learn a bit about the Lincolnshire Folk Tales Project and folk tales from the local area with Dr Rory Waterman. You can share any anecdotes you have with the project. Rory will be on hand all afternoon to chat informally about folk tales and take notes of any stories you might want to share. On this day you can also find free family crafts to build your own Boggart. Learn about this character from Lincolnshire folklore and make one of your own.


Half term Board Game Cafe at the Venue in Navenby from 11am - 2pm. This is for children of all ages. Come along and bring a board game and a friend. The cost is £1 per child and juice is included. Pasta, hot dogs and jacket potatoes will be available and also a tuck shop for the children. Tea and coffee will also be available. All children must be accompanied.


Men's Shed at Bucknall Village Hall. Open to men aged 16+ from any area from 6.30 - 9pm. A hub to meet new people, chat, play darts, pool and do crafts. With occasional guest speakers and events. St Mary's Church Holiday Club in Horncastle from 1 - 3pm. All primary school age families welcome to come and join in for games, craft, food and friendship.

Heighington WI meet in the Jubilee Hall at 7.45pm when the speaker will be Adam with a talk on Bread and Cheese. You will be able to taste and buy his delicious wares and wine will be provided to accompany this event. New members and visitors are always welcome. The cost for visitors is a £4 donation and light refreshments are provided.


Learn Balboa, a 30s and 40s swing dance, at St Peters Hall, The Broadway, Woodall Spa, every Tuesday. Classes for absolute beginners at 11.30am, followed by practice time, and improver's class from 12.45pm to develop vocabulary, styling and confidence. Beginners are welcome to join any week and no partner is needed. The cost is £5 per class and if you would like more information contact Steve on 01507‍ 463139.


Saxilby & District History Group meet in the Village Hall in the High Street at 7.30pm. This month the talk is given by Sophie Kinsley and is entitled 'Roman Lincoln', exploring the Roman world around us through physical remains, art and the virtual world. The cost is £3 for members and £5 for non-members.

Horncastle History and Heritage Society meet in the Community Centre at 7.30pm when Clive Nicholson gives a talk about Ambrose Langley, a Horncastle footballer who won the FA Cup. The cost is £2 for members and £5 for non members and everyone is welcome.


Free Circus Workshop (with clown) at the Jubilee Hall in Heighington. This workshop is for the children of the village and there will be two sessions available - 10 - 11am and 11.15am - 12.15pm. The Sooty Show at the Drill, Free School Lane, Lincoln at 2pm. Join Sooty, Sweep and Soo with presenter George Akid for a magical, laugh out loud performance that's perfect for all ages. With magical support from award winning Jimmy Carlo. Under 18 months/babes in arms are free - one child per customer. Tickets can be obtained from lincolndrill.co.uk.


The Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology meet at 7.30pm in St Hugh's Hall, Monks Road, Lincoln when the speaker will be Stephen Betteridge talking about Dunham Bridge - Then and Now. This talk will explore the history of the bridge and include elements of its current operation, including what do the words "the A57 is closed because Dunham Bridge is flooded" really mean. The circus is coming to Metheringham Village Hall. Stardust, the UK's premier indoor circus is on the way with a fantastic show for the whole family. There will be slapstick comedy, magic illusions and lots of surprises, including all your favourite mascot characters as well as world famous international circus artistes. There is one show only at 3pm and all tickets cost £9.50 with under 3s free of charge.


Dance and Disabilities Workshop for ages 10 - 24 at the Hub in Sleaford from 3 - 4.30pm. This workshop is a relaxed, inclusive and fun creative dance session for young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or physical disabilities. The session focuses on developing dancers to become more confident in dance by experimenting with different ways of movement through prop explorations and creative tasks. The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust meet at Whisby Nature Park, Moor Lane, Thorpe on the Hill at 7.30pm. There will be an illustrated talk about the birds of prey found in Lincolnshire, including owls, by local bird enthusiast and ringer Alan Ball. The second half of the talk focuses on red kites and peregrines. All are welcome and there is no need to book or be a Trust member. Entry is £2.50.


Organ Recital by John Lyon (Director of Music at Boston Stump) at Sleaford Parish Church at 7pm. A programme of works by a variety of composers from across the centuries. Tickets are available on the door.

Get ready for an unforgettable night as Legends of Motown UK take the stage at the Lincoln County Assembly Rooms. This electrifying performance promises to deliver all the Motown classics you know and love, including Stevie Wonder, the Supremes, the Four Tops and many more, with stunning vocals, a fantastic 7 piece live band and disco. There will be a dance floor and dancing, and about 100 seats will be available but only on a first come first served basis. HMS Glamorgan - A Crew Member's Story at the Cross Keys, Stow. A night dedicated to the story of HMS Glamorgan and her role in the Falklands conflict. A first hand account of the campaign and the events surrounding the liberation of the islands, the tragedy and loss of life, and an emotional return by veterans of the ship many years later. The doors open at 7pm with the talk commencing at 7.30. There will be a break midway through for a buffet to be served. Tickets cost £10 and are available from the Cross Keys on 01427‍ 788314.


General Knowledge Quiz Night at Metheringham Village Hall at 7pm. An evening of fun, food and drink when you can see if you've got what it takes to become Quizzing Champion. A maximum of 6 per team and a prize for the winner. Tickets are £15 each, or £10 for under 16s, and include a pie and pea supper. There will also be a well stocked bar. "Come and Sing" Workshop with Harmony Lincs in the Church Hall at Bailgate Methodist Church, Lincoln from 10am - 4pm. If you're interested in learning a new skill or joining a group of likeminded performers, this workshop will give you the chance to have a go at close harmony singing - for free. Snowdrop Event at Whisby Nature Park between 12 noon and 3pm. Come along and plant a snowdrop to remember a loved one no longer with us. This event is to give people the chance to remember someone who has died and raise funds for Child Bereavement UK. The charity supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or when a child is facing bereavement. A small donation to the charity will give you a snowdrop to plant. The Searchers and Hollies Experience - The Best of Both Worlds at the Terry O'Toole Theatre, North Hykeham at 7.30pm.
