Spectacular one off outdoor quiz event at the Jolly Brewer on Broadgate in Lincoln from 7.30pm onwards. It's on a big screen so everyone can join in the fun and there's also music and more. Book your place by contacting the Jolly Brewer.


Lincoln Flower Club meet at Bailgate Methodist Church Hall from 2 - 4pm when Marie Bradley will be arranging flowers with the theme "From India With Love". All arrangements will be raffled at the end and the cost is £10.


Games and Social Evening at Nettleham Community Hub from 7 - 9pm. You can either play the games available in the Hub or bring your own. Self serve hot drinks will be available but please bring your own cup or mug. You can also bring drinks and snacks with you if you wish. Entry is free and this event is for over 18s only.


There's seated exercise at Age UK at 36 Park Street, Lincoln from 9.15 - 10am. You will be led through a series of gentle exercises with the added bonus of making new friends along the way. This takes place every Thursday and to find out more and book please call 03455‍ 564 144 or go to the Activity Centre in Park Street.


A Whist Drive takes place at Washingborough Community Centre every Thursday. Please arrive by 1.15 for a 1.30 start. All abilities are welcome and the cost is £6. This includes prizes, a raffle, tea, coffee and biscuits.


There's a local history talk entitled Magic, Murders and the Enigma of the World at Age UK, 36 Park Street, Lincoln starting at 1pm. Step into a world of intrigue and unsolved secrets as historian Paul Halfyard takes you back to 1600s Lincolnshire. This captivating talk will explore some of the county's most mysterious and unsettling tales. Age UK Lincoln and South Lincolnshire are holding a Summer Festival at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa from 9.30am 3.30pm. There will be over 20 craft and food vendors, live entertainment and music, tombola, games and activities plus delicious cakes and refreshments. There's also a huge raffle with amazing prizes. Entry is free and all ages are welcome.


Local Landscapes and Hidden Histories are holding a Local History Cafe at the Grandstand on Saxilby Road, Lincoln from 6 - 7.30pm when the subject will be The Lincoln Trams between 1882 and 1929. NavenBEEs Toddler Group takes place at Mrs Smith's Cottage in Navenby from 11am - 12noon. Bring your little bees along for hands on learning about our natural world. With rhymes, crafts and have-a-go gardening for ages 2 - 5. The cost is £2 per child and adults are free. There's no need to book, just drop in at 11am.

Medicinal Herb and Tree Walk in Waddington from 10am - 12 noon. This is a gentle, engaging and medicinal plant walk with Medical Herbalist and Wild Plant Guide Hannah Sylvester, identifying plants and trees in your own garden that can safely and ethically be used in the home for helping your health, for first aid and in the kitchen. Meet by the gate to St Michael's church ideally 5 or 10 minutes before the walk starts. Tickets are £10 plus booking fee from eventbrite.co.uk.


Sing it Loud at Lincoln Cathedral at 7.30pm with five community choirs from around the county coming together to form a "super choir" of over 250 voices. It will be an evening of acapella singing, beautiful harmonies and a celebration of community. Tickets cost £12 for adults and £8 for concessions available from eventbrite.co.uk or singitloud.org.


It's Scamblesby Open Gardens from 12 noon to 5pm. The starting point and disabled parking is at the Old Vicarage in Church Lane with main parking opposite the church. Entry is by donation with a £5 minimum and there will be refreshments, a plant stall and a raffle. All proceeds are in aid of St Martin's Church. Dogs must be kept on a lead in gardens please and you will be given a map on entry.


The John Ward Trio will be performing at Nettleham Live in the Village Hall with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30 start. This is a lively and entertaining trio with contemporary ballads, traditional songs and delightful three part harmonies. There's also their show in words, pictures and songs of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Tickets cost £14 from nettlehamlive.org.


Scopwick and Kirkby Green Open Gardens from 2 - 6pm. Approximately 7 formal and informal gardens will be open with an amazing variety in size and content, including one viewed from a free train ride. There will be afternoon teas and off street parking is available. Admission is £5 per adult and under 16s are free. This event is in aid of Holy Cross Church in Scopwick.


Gin & Rum Festival at The Engine Shed starting at 12.30. With gin, rum and an exciting party vibe this will be an incredible event. Included in the ticket price is a free drink to claim as you leave, free samples from distillers and producers, collectable branded goodies and more. There will be live music from an acoustic band and a resident DJ. Tickets can be obtained from eventbrite.co.uk and it's over 18s only.


Lincolnshire Family History Society meet at Queens Park Community Hub, South Park at 2pm when Lorraine Corbinzolu will be giving a presentation entitled "What's in a Name". This talk will consider illegitimate births in Lincolnshire, specifically looking at clues in naming patterns to identify the father. A £1 donation would be helpful to cover the cost of the speaker and refreshments and non members are very welcome.


There's a jumble sale in Birchwood Scout Hut from 12 noon - 2pm in aid of Lincoln Cat Care. There will be gift stalls, games, tombola and refreshments. Entrance is 30p or a tin of cat food. Please come along and support a great charity.


St Lawrence's Church in Revesby is hosting a night of entertainment with a vibrant rock choir with doors opening at 6 and the concert starting at 6.30. Tickets cost £10 and include light refreshments.


Scampton Church are holding a Quiz Night at 7pm. The cost is £5 per head and teams of up to 6 people. Nibbles will be provided but please bring drinks and glasses. Open garden and vehicle display at Aubourn Hall from 11.30am - 4pm. Come and visit the beautiful gardens, enjoy coffee and cake and listen to music from The Local Heroes. You can also bring a picnic if you wish. Entry is £10 per adult and under 16s are free. Some of the day's proceeds will go to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.


Vintage Day at Spout Yard in Louth from 11am - 2pm. Enjoy vintage music from the 30s to the 50s with plenty of space for dancing and there will be free dance classes during the day. DJ Dr Swing will be playing music for Lindy Hop, Jitterbug and Jive, plus other vintage dances and strolls. Also Steve will sing a range of songs from the 20s to the 60s for your dancing and listening pleasure. The kiosk will be open serving cakes, ice creams and drinks and this is a free event.


Tinsley Farm Gardens at 133 Lincoln Road, Branston will be open from 11am - 3pm in aid of St Barnabas. Cake, tea and coffee will be available.


A Summer Social will be held in the gardens of the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa from 4 - 6pm. Food and drinks will be available from the Terrace Bar and there will be entertainment from the Coningsby Military Wives Choir. There's no need to book.

Woodhall Spa & District Flower Club meet in the Woodland Suite at the Petwood Hotel when the speaker will be David Ryland on the subject of Summer Sunshine. There is a sales table at each meeting and you can buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of the arrangements. Tea or coffee are available at a small cost. The cost is £5 for visitors and members are free. Doors open at 6.45 for a 7.15 start.


Music for the Memory takes place on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at the Ark in Moor Lane, North Hykeham. This is a relaxed and friendly singing group for people with memory problems.

There's a Live Exercise in Horncastle testing out the town's emergency plan in partnership with the police, fire and ambulance. If you're free you can go to the Stanhope Hall and help them practice the procedures by pretending to be an evacuee.


As part of North Kesteven Walking Festival a Sunset Walk led by Ray Holloway is taking place in Navenby at 6.45pm. It starts from the Venue and is approximately 4 miles, taking you through parts of Navenby and Wellingore villages before enjoying the sunset (weather permitting) from the Viking Way with views across the Trent Valley.


Lincoln Pro Musica Orchestra are performing Music for a Summer Evening at Lincoln County Assembly Rooms in the Bailgate starting at 7.30pm which will include music by Mozart and Mendelssohn - fabulous music in a stunning setting.

Sturton and Stow History Society meet in Sturton Village Hall at 7.30pm when the speaker will be Richard Pullen talking about Lawrence of Arabia, focusing on his connection to Lincolnshire. The entry fee is £2 and this includes a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit. There will also be a raffle.


There will be a talk about Lincolnshire Thatching at Thimbleby Village Hall at 7.30pm with doors opening at 7.15. The talk will last for approximately 1 hour followed by questions and answers. The cost is £3 and this will include refreshments.


Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th June
The Lincolnshire Show is being held at the Showground from 8.30am - 6pm. You can enjoy a variety of attractions including horticulture displays, live music, equine and livestock competitions, children's activities and entertainment. Carlton le Moorland & District Art Group meet every Thursday from 10am - 12.30 at the Village Hall. New members of any ability are always welcome and if you would like more information please call 01522‍ 810739.


Horncastle Walkers are doing an evening walk with tea afterwards at the Royal Oak in Mareham le Fen, meeting opposite the pub on Fen Lane at 6pm. This is a 4 mile circular walk and suitable footwear is required as the route may be muddy. Eating at the pub after the walk is optional and you'll need to pay for your own meals.


The Jubilee Park Bowling Club in Woodhall Spa meet every Thursday afternoon from 2pm so if you would like to try lawn bowls you are welcome to come along. It's great fun and very enjoyable. All equipment will be provided and you are asked to wear flat shoes.


A unique sea shanty themed recital from Lincs Effect, the Cathedral's choral scholars, will take place in Lincoln Cathedral. Recently returned from Falmouth's International Sea Shanty Festival, they will be performing lively folk tunes and haunting ballads, along with some bawdy shanties. The recital will take place in the Nave at 1.10pm and is included in your Cathedral admission.


A night of mellow soul and smooth jazz at Lincoln Jazz Cafe at 1 Water Lane, Lincoln from 7.30pm till midnight. It's hosted by Alec Perkins and you can listen to the tunes of Gladys Knight, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Bobby Womack and many more. Entry is free and you can book at lincolnjazzcafe.co.uk.

Manor Leas Junior Academy in North Hykeham are holding a Midsummer Social from 3 - 7pm. There's a bouncy castle theme park, live rock steady performances, DJ sets from Noise Academy, live graffiti and a water balloon toss, plus ice cream, doughnuts, coffee and craft stalls. Entry is £2 and this includes entry to a prize draw. Under 5s are free.


Hykeham Textile Group meet every Friday at South Hykeham Village Hall from 1 - 4pm. There are a variety of activities including embroidery, crochet, fabric and felt projects, quilling and pictures made out of buttons. No experience is needed, just come for the company or to try something new. Each session is £3 which includes refreshments, although the first session is free as a taster.


Woodhall Spa Gardening Club meet at the Coronation Hall at 7.30pm when the speaker will be David Mason giving a talk focused on Total Lawn Care.


There's a Chippy Quiz Night at Branston Village Hall with doors opening at 6.30 for a 7pm start. This will be a fun filled trivia night and teams of up to 6 can enjoy a tasty chippy meal which is included in the £10 cost of the ticket. There's an 8 rounds Charity General Knowledge and Pop Music Quiz Night at Brant Road Social Club in Waddington at 8pm. Teams of 2 - 5 and the cost is £2 per person, pay on the night. There will be prizes, refreshments and a bar and the event is raising funds for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance Appeal. Individuals are welcome as you can join the house team. The Banovallum Singers will be performing in St Mary's Church in Horncastle at 7.30pm. There will be wine and shortbread served in the interval and it's all free.


Friday 20th and Saturday 21st June
It's Waddington Summer Fair Weekend at the Village Hall and playing field, and on Friday there's live music, a funfair and bar food from 6 - 9pm. On Saturday there's a village fete with dog show, food and drink, stalls and more from 12 noon - 5pm, plus live music, the funfair and bar food until 9pm.

There's a Summer Fun Day at Manor Farm Academy on Tiber Road in North Hykeham from 11 - 2pm. Entry is free.


A Midsummer Prom is taking place at Lincoln Cathedral at 7pm. You can enjoy specially chosen works that include familiar classics and a spirited finale to bring the longest day of the year to a spectacular close, During the interval you can also enjoy a refreshing glass of Pimms. Tickets are available at lincolncathedral.com/events, where you can also see the performance programme.


There's a Quiz and free supper at Mareham le Fen Community Centre to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The cost is £5 per person and a maximum of 6 per team. Doors open at 6pm for supper and the quiz starts at 7pm. There will be a bar and a raffle with many of the prizes donated by local shops and companies. A Summer BBQ will be held at Burton Club, Main Street, Burton from 2pm onwards. Come along for a fantastic afternoon of great food, family fun and live entertainment. Expect an excellent BBQ, a bouncy castle for the kids and a live DJ to keep the whole vibe going. Tickets cost £15 for adults, £7.50 for children aged 5 - 12 and under 5s are free. There's a concert by Lincolnshire Hospital Band in Washingborough Methodist Church with doors opening at 6.30 and the concert starting at 7pm. Tea and coffee will be served in the interval for which a donation is asked if you can afford it. Likewise the band will also invite you to make a donation towards their costs. The People's Mosquito Vintage Afternoon Tea takes place at the International Bomber Command Centre on Canwick Hill at 2pm when you can listen and dance to the fabulous Lila la Scala as she transports you back to the golden era of music. Veteran Flt Lt Colin Bell will also be present and he will be unveiling a memorial stone to pay tribute to the heroic crews of the de Havilland Mosquito. A concert by the Banovallum Singers will take place in St John's Church in Washingborough at 7.30pm. There will be a raffle and light refreshments which will include summer punch. Admission is free with a retiring collection.


Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June
1940s weekend at Metheringham Airfield where there will be re-enactments, talks, entertainment from the period and military vehicles. The Dakota will be open for tours and there will be a Dakota flypast on both days. There's also a dance in the evening from 7pm - 10.30 with the Ashby Big Band in an original 1940s building. There's limited car parking space so please book in advance. Tickets are £12 for the evening dance from ticketsource.co.uk.

Krazy Races returns to Lincoln. This free to attend soapbox derby will bring a day of high-speed thrills, community spirit and non stop entertainment to the city. Join thousands of spectators as 40 local teams launch their handcrafted karts downhill. There will be prizes for the fastest kart, best design and best dressed team. Apart from the racing Lincoln city centre will come alive with food vendors and live entertainment, creating a festival atmosphere for all ages.


Skellingthorpe Annual Gala takes place on Monson Playing Field from 12 noon - 5pm. There will be stalls, vintage vehicles, a fun fair, refreshments and much more. Breakfasts will also be available for all from 8.30 - 11.45 and weather permitting there will be a Dakota fly past towards the end of the gala.


There's a Rag Wreath Making Workshop at Blend Coffee in Branston from 11am - 1pm. All materials are provided but you're encouraged to bring along any spare fabric or old clothes to personalise your wreath. Children aged 10 and over who are making their own wreath receive half price entry. Coffee and cake are included in the cost of £32 so come for the creativity and stay for the community and connection this village hub creates. No crafting experience is necessary. The cost for children is £16 per child aged 10 and over with an accompanying adult and you can book on bobbinandbloom.co.uk/workshops.
