Mat Tuck

Mat was born in Gloucestershire in the 1960's and says he grew up about 40 years later.

It was inevitable he would eventually find his way to radio as music has always played a big part his life and, in his words, he was a bit too shabby for TV! Although he did win Pointless once.

He ran a ‘bad mobile disco’ in the 90's, joined hospital radio in 2004 and has been in a successful band for the last 15 years. He was also lucky enough to have seen bands such as the Jam, The Smiths, REM and the Sex Pistols play live.

Having always 'worked to live', for the last five years he has been 'living to work' as he joined the Blue Cross in 2019 where he cuddles the animals before and after the clever people fix them. Outside work he likes to pepper his trips to the pub with futile attempts at keeping fit; Until recently he could be found inert on a football pitch somewhere but at the moment he just ambles along at the back of the weekly parkrun muttering.

Mat joined LCR in late 2011 and hosts the Saturday Social from 2-4 on a Saturday and the Lincoln Alternative on a Monday evening.
